The agreement aims to bring cooperation in political dialogue, trade, and security to a new level, strengthen bilateral relations, and support reforms and sustainable development processes. According to the information, this agreement confirms the mutual commitment to reforms, modernization of the economy, and deepening cooperation on the international stage.
Additionally, the agreement will serve as a foundation for important initiatives such as the "European Union – Central Asia" investment forum to be held in Tashkent in November of this year. The Enhanced Partnership and Cooperation Agreement will remain a modern legal basis for developing relations between the European Union and Uzbekistan.
It envisions expanding cooperation in new directions in trade, economy, science, education, ecology, and innovation. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, this agreement will replace the initial treaty signed in 1996 and represents a new stage in the country's development.
The ministry's statement notes that the document clearly reflects Uzbekistan's recent political, economic, and institutional progress. Experts believe that the new agreement will not only elevate relations with Europe to a qualitatively new level but also contribute to enhancing Uzbekistan's international prestige.
The agreement expected to be signed in Brussels will enable the country to integrate more deeply into global economic processes. Thus, the new agreement confirms Uzbekistan's firm steps towards reforms, openness, and sustainable development.
