Uzbekistan is entering a new stage of development in the tourism sector. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to official data, by 2030, the number of foreign tourists visiting the country is expected to reach 25 million. Additionally, the number of domestic tourism participants is planned to increase to 50 million.
In recent years, tourism infrastructure has been rapidly modernized. In particular, new international airports have been built, bringing their total number to 18.
Currently, seven more airports are being reconstructed based on modern requirements. Due to the increasing flow of tourists, the construction of a new international airport is planned in the Tashkent region.
This project is being implemented taking into account the recommendations of foreign experts in the field as well as public opinion. At present, 51 airlines from Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Korea, China, India, Malaysia, Turkey, Russia, and Poland have established regular flights with Uzbekistan.
Furthermore, the purchase of 22 modern Boeing aircraft from the USA will enable the creation of a new aviation network connecting the country with Southeast Asia, Europe, and the American continent. Modernization of the transport system is also making a significant contribution to the development of the tourism sector.
Within the country, new high-speed electric trains and electric buses are being introduced. Bus fleets are being updated, and roadside infrastructure is being improved along tourist-friendly routes.
Experts believe that such changes will allow Uzbekistan to become one of the most attractive tourist centers in Central Asia. The reforms planned until 2030 will significantly increase the tourism sector's share in the economy.
At the same time, new jobs will be created, and broad opportunities will open up in the service sector for the local population. Today, Uzbekistan is ready to attract international guests not only with its rich history and culture but also with its modern tourism infrastructure.
