Automobile production in Uzbekistan slightly decreased
Local automobile production indicators in Uzbekistan slightly declined in January-September 2024. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

According to the State Statistics Committee, over 116 thousand Cobalt cars were produced during the same period this year, which is a slight decrease compared to last year. Similarly, the production volume of Damas cars also decreased from 70 thousand to 67.8 thousand.

At the same time, production of the Tracker model by UzAuto Motors increased, reaching from 31 thousand to 34 thousand. The number of Onix cars decreased from 24.7 thousand to 22.5 thousand.

Other companies are actively increasing production. For example, KIA car production rose from 14 thousand to 19.6 thousand.

China's BYD brand achieved significant growth, increasing production from 681 units last year to 13.7 thousand. Additionally, Chery and Haval companies also significantly increased their production volumes.

UzAuto Motors is preparing to present updated versions of the Cobalt and Damas models soon. The new Damas Move and Damas Max models will have larger dimensions, greater load capacity, and improved comfort.

The updated Cobalt car will be equipped with 12 new features that were previously unavailable. The engine has been updated, the ABS system improved, and control units modernized.

Furthermore, new versions named “Cobalt Style MSM” and “Cobalt Midnight MSM” will be introduced into production. Experts believe these updates are important for maintaining the competitiveness of the local automobile industry and meeting domestic market demand.
