The government of Uzbekistan has expanded the visa-free regime to develop international relations and attract more tourists and investors to the country. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to the Cabinet of Ministers' decision dated October 21, 2025, citizens of Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia, and Jordan can now enter Uzbekistan visa-free and stay for up to 30 days. This decision serves to strengthen economic, cultural, and diplomatic ties with the Gulf countries.
Additionally, the visa-free stay period for Chinese citizens has been extended to 30 days, while residents of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region can still stay visa-free for 7 days. The government has simplified the visa application process for businesspeople.
Now, citizens of Austria, Germany, Italy, France, the United Kingdom, Spain, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Latvia, Switzerland, Malaysia, and Japan can obtain a business visa within two working days. For citizens of the United Arab Emirates, Iran, and Pakistan, this process takes up to three working days.
If necessary, the period can be extended up to 10 days. Experts believe that these changes will stimulate tourism, trade, and investments, as well as improve the country's international image.
The liberalization of visas will help Uzbekistan become one of the most open and investment-friendly countries in the region. This will contribute not only to economic benefits but also to strengthening cultural dialogue and mutual trust (source: zamin.uz).
