
Wage levels in Uzbekistan are rising significantly. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to data from the National Statistics Committee, the average nominal wage across the country in January-September 2025 amounted to 6,166,900 soms. This figure is 19.2 percent higher compared to the same period last year.
By region, the highest wages have traditionally been recorded in Tashkent city, where employees earn an average salary of 10,379,600 soms. This figure increased by 18.7 percent compared to 2024.
Certain regions lead in wage growth rates. For example, in Samarkand region, the average wage reached 4.8 million soms, marking a growth of 124.8 percent.
Wages also grew by more than 119 percent in Namangan, Sirdaryo, Fergana, and Jizzakh regions. The lowest growth rates were recorded in Andijan, Navoi, Kashkadarya, Tashkent region, Khorezm, Karakalpakstan, and Bukhara regions.
According to analyses by types of economic activity, the highest wages are in banking, insurance, leasing, and credit sectors, averaging 16,828,900 soms. This figure increased by 15.6 percent compared to last year.
In the information and communication sector, the average wage reached 14,985,800 soms, growing by 16.6 percent. In the transportation and storage sector, wages were 9,382,100 soms (growth of 16.7%), and in the industrial sector, 7,301,000 soms (growth of 16.3%).
In the construction sector, the average wage amounted to 6,342,600 soms, increasing by 9.2 percent. In the trade sector, this figure was 6,875,600 soms (growth of 12.1%), and in healthcare and social services, 3,765,400 soms (growth of 14.6%).
Over the past five years, wages in Uzbekistan have been steadily increasing. Especially in banking, insurance, and leasing sectors, wages have sharply risen, increasing by 9,092,000 soms compared to 2021.
In the information and communication sector, wages increased by 9.7 million soms. In transportation and storage, this figure rose by 5.5 million soms, in industry by 3.4 million soms, and in construction by 2.7 million soms.
Experts emphasize that wage growth is explained by active investments in the country’s economy, the creation of new jobs, and increased competition in the labor market. Additionally, as a result of economic reforms, wage disparities across various sectors are gradually decreasing.
