The population in Uzbekistan is steadily increasing, which significantly affects the country's population density. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to data from the National Statistics Committee as of October 1, 2025, an average of 84.8 people occupy each square kilometer. This figure is 1.6 people higher compared to the same period last year.
In recent years, population density has been rising rapidly. For example, in 2021, there were 78.1 people per square kilometer, in 2022 - 79.8 people, in 2023 - 81.5 people, and in 2024 - 83.2 people.
Along with the increase in population, the urbanization process is also accelerating. This situation increases the demand for housing, transportation, education, and healthcare services.
At the same time, the pace of economic development is strengthening, but environmental problems and challenges in urban planning may also arise. Considering that in the first nine months of 2025, population incomes increased by 18 percent and the average salary rose by 19 percent, the living standards of the population are significantly improving.
Additionally, the country's gold and foreign currency reserves have increased by 35 percent over the past year, reaching 55 billion dollars. This is an important factor in strengthening economic stability and reducing external financial risks.
Therefore, against the backdrop of population growth and economic activity expansion, the pace of life across the country is accelerating, and the need for infrastructure is increasing. In the coming years, population density and economic indicators are expected to rise further.
