
Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić and his wife arrived in Tashkent on October 28 for an official visit at the invitation of Uzbekistan's President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The head of state was ceremoniously welcomed at Tashkent International Airport by Uzbekistan's Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov, along with representatives of the government and the presidential administration. This visit was organized with the aim of elevating the friendship and cooperation between the two countries to a new level.
Within the framework of the program, high-level negotiations, strategic agreements, and document signing ceremonies will take place. During the meetings, the parties will discuss developing industrial cooperation, promoting joint projects in the agricultural and pharmaceutical sectors, as well as expanding collaboration in information technology and digitalization fields.
Additionally, prospects for cooperation in tourism, education, and cultural exchange are among the main topics. At the conclusion of the negotiations, a package of bilateral agreements is planned to be signed, which will serve to strengthen political, economic, and social ties between Uzbekistan and Serbia.
Moreover, the heads of state will exchange views on pressing issues of international and regional significance. It is emphasized that both countries advocate for peace, stability, and the development of mutually beneficial cooperation.
After official meetings in Tashkent, Aleksandar Vučić will travel to Samarkand to participate as an honored guest at the 43rd session of the UNESCO General Conference. Observers believe that this visit will bring relations between the two countries to a new level and define new directions for broad partnership not only in economic but also in humanitarian spheres.
