
The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, held an official meeting with the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
During the meeting, issues related to further development of economic, investment, and humanitarian cooperation between the two countries were discussed. The discussions emphasized the importance of increasing trade turnover and developing joint programs in the fields of mechanical engineering, pharmaceuticals, chemical industry, information technology, agro-industrial complex, and tourism.
Additionally, special attention was given to the development of new transport corridors connecting Central Asia and the Balkans. The presidents signed a joint declaration and agreed to hold the first meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission in Tashkent in 2026.
During the meeting, prospects for cooperation in labor migration, education, science, culture, and sports were also thoroughly reviewed. In conclusion, a number of bilateral documents were signed.
These include agreements and memorandums aimed at promoting and protecting investments, economic cooperation, medical services, tourism, education, artificial intelligence, diplomatic personnel training, labor migration, and strengthening cooperation in sports. Source: zamin.uz
