
On October 28, negotiations took place in the city of Tashkent between the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
At the end of the meeting, the parties signed a Joint Declaration aimed at strengthening mutual cooperation. In addition, a number of intergovernmental and interagency documents were adopted.
These include agreements on promoting and protecting investments, economic cooperation, cooperation in the field of healthcare, tourism, education, science, and culture. Furthermore, agreements were signed on developing cooperation in engineering, advanced technologies, artificial intelligence, and related fields, as well as a memorandum on the training of diplomatic personnel.
A cooperation program for 2026-2027 was adopted between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs. Memorandums and declarations on cooperation in labor migration, sports, and physical education were also signed.
Additionally, an agreement on establishing partnership relations between the cities of Tashkent and Belgrade was approved. These documents serve to further strengthen the friendly and effective cooperation between the two countries.
