Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić and his wife Tamara Vučić arrived in Uzbekistan on an official visit. Within the framework of this visit, Uzbekistan's First Lady Ziroat Mirziyoyeva met with Serbia's First Lady Tamara Vučić.
The meeting emphasized the importance of further developing human, cultural, and spiritual ties between the two countries. During the informal conversation, common values connecting the peoples of both countries were discussed, particularly cooperation in culture, education, and humanitarian fields.
Ziroat Mirziyoyeva provided information about social and scientific projects being implemented in Uzbekistan. Tamara Vučić introduced the work being done in Serbia regarding women's activism and the protection of children's rights.
The parties noted that relations between Uzbekistan and Serbia are entering a new phase and stressed the necessity of strengthening friendship, trust, and mutual understanding between the peoples. At the end of the meeting, Ziroat Mirziyoyeva and Tamara Vučić visited an exhibition showcasing Uzbek folk applied arts and national traditions.
The guests were presented with carpets, jewelry, and atlas-adras fabrics made by local artisans. Additionally, dances and songs in national costumes left a strong impression.
The meeting was held in a warm and friendly atmosphere. The First Ladies of the two countries expressed their intention to further expand cooperation in cultural and social spheres in the future.
