A toll road is planned to be constructed along the "New Andijan – Khonobod" route in Andijan region. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The regional governor Shuhrat Abdurahmonov provided this information. This project is being implemented based on the directive of the head of state and was developed within the framework of attracting foreign investments.
Representatives of the regional administration have conducted negotiations with Chinese investors regarding the project and reached an agreement. The main goal of the project is to improve transport connections between regions by creating a modern and safe road infrastructure.
Additionally, in October of this year, the Uzbekistan Automobile Roads Committee announced plans to increase the speed limit for vehicles up to 150 km/h. This issue is also reflected in the new draft law.
The new law will also clearly specify the upper limit of tariffs set for the use of toll roads. As a result of the implementation of this project, not only will the internal transport system of the region improve, but it will also have a positive impact on economic development.
