Now in Uzbekistan, medical care can be received not only in public but also in private medical institutions funded by the state budget. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This procedure was introduced based on a resolution approved by the Cabinet of Ministers. According to this resolution, free medical care is provided to all citizens at district and city level institutions.
At the republican level institutions, this assistance is intended only for patients belonging to privileged categories. To start treatment funded by the budget, you must first contact your own polyclinic.
The family doctor at the polyclinic conducts the initial examination. If necessary, they refer the patient to a narrow specialist.
The narrow specialist must see the patient within one working day. If inpatient treatment is required, the family doctor issues a referral to the appropriate medical institution through the electronic system.
Referrals to district or city level hospitals are given directly by the doctor, while referrals to republican level institutions are reviewed by a special medical commission. The commission must resolve this issue within two working days.
This procedure allows patients to receive medical care promptly and efficiently.
