
On November 6, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, held a meeting with the President of the United States, Donald Trump, during his official visit to Washington. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
During the visit, President Mirziyoyev left a note in the White House Guest Book. The main part of the meeting took place in the Oval Office, where issues of further developing strategic partnership relations between the two countries were discussed.
The agenda included strengthening political dialogue, expanding trade-economic, investment, and cultural-humanitarian cooperation. Particular attention was paid during the negotiations to the implementation of agreements reached in New York in September of this year.
Additionally, pressing issues of global and regional importance were discussed, including the exchange of views on deepening cooperation between Central Asia and the US within the “S5+1” format. Our Head of State congratulated Donald Trump on his achievements in domestic and foreign policy.
Furthermore, his personal contribution to the peaceful resolution of international and regional conflicts was acknowledged. Donald Trump highly appreciated the effective negotiations conducted by the Uzbek leader with representatives of the US government, major companies, and financial institutions.
The meeting also covered the creation and improvement of institutional mechanisms for implementing joint projects. At the end, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev invited Donald Trump to pay an official visit to Uzbekistan.
