The government of Uzbekistan has approved the procedure for providing paid services in medical institutions. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The press service of the Ministry of Justice announced this. According to the new procedure, if a patient seeks planned medical care without a referral and on their own initiative, these services will be provided on a paid basis.
In this case, the patient must be registered at the medical institution. Additionally, all medical services not included in the free guaranteed service package at polyclinics are considered additional services and must be paid for.
Full prepayment is required before accepting the patient. After that, the patient is referred to the appropriate doctor.
It is known that the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, had proposed an initiative to revise the prices of medical services in the republic. The head of state suggested directing medical insurance funds to private clinics capable of providing quality and affordable services.
