The experience of organized labor migration from Uzbekistan and Tajikistan has been proposed to be more widely shared among CIS countries. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This initiative was put forward by Tatyana Moskalkova, the human rights commissioner in Russia. According to Tatyana Moskalkova, relevant agreements may be signed between CIS countries to implement this initiative.
According to official data, since the beginning of 2025, 106 thousand Uzbek workers have been sent to Russia through organized recruitment. Among them, 50 thousand are working in large Russian enterprises.
Moreover, compared to 2023, the number of workers sent from Uzbekistan to Russia through organized recruitment has increased by 4.2 times. At the same time, the number of Uzbeks who found jobs independently has almost halved within a year, reaching 700 thousand.
These trends indicate the necessity to regulate interstate labor migration and develop mutual cooperation. Source: Zamin.uz
