Three major projects are being implemented in Uzbekistan to ensure environmental sustainability. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
An article about this was published by the Russian information agency “Karavan Info.” It is reported that at a special meeting chaired by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, these projects aimed at improving the environment were officially launched.
During the meeting, issues related to ecology and environmental protection, public health, and improving quality of life were discussed. The main goal was set to implement programs such as “Clean Air,” “Waste-Free Clean Uzbekistan,” and “Ecomeros.”
In these projects, alongside government agencies, the private sector will also actively participate. Within the framework of the “Clean Air” project, a unified ecological monitoring center will be established in the country.
This center will regularly monitor air quality and help identify sources of pollution. Additionally, it is planned to equip industrial enterprises with modern purification facilities and filters.
These measures will help reduce the amount of harmful substances released into the atmosphere. The “Waste-Free Clean Uzbekistan” project is aimed at improving the system of waste collection, sorting, recycling, and disposal.
The President emphasized the necessity of involving private business in this process. This project will enable turning waste into an economic resource.
The “Ecomeros” program focuses on nature conservation and preserving natural resources for future generations. Within the project, reserves, national parks, and specially protected areas will be restored, and ecotourism infrastructure will be developed.
Additionally, goals such as expanding forest areas and preserving biodiversity have been set. These projects serve to ensure ecological safety in Uzbekistan, create a healthy environment, and promote sustainable regional development.
According to experts, these initiatives are important not only for ecological but also for economic and social sustainability. Thus, the country’s “green development” strategy is advancing to a new level.
