The Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Yekaterinburg and the Migration Agency office organized a series of meetings with major local companies. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to the "Dunyo" news agency, the main goal of the negotiations was to legally and safely employ Uzbek specialists, as well as to develop bilateral economic cooperation.
Initially, a dialogue was held with Olga Seves, a representative of "Yevrakor" JSC, which operates in Russia's oil and gas, energy, industrial, and construction sectors. She emphasized that the company provides workers with free accommodation, food, guaranteed salaries, and necessary conditions.
Specific proposals were also made regarding employee selection, patent registration, and transportation to the workplace. It was noted that there is high demand for Uzbek specialists in this company.
Additionally, a meeting took place with Tatyana Ovsyankina, director of "Provans" LLC in Tyumen, specializing in processing lettuce and arugula. She announced that the company imports iceberg lettuce and arugula from Uzbekistan.
Due to high demand for these products in the domestic market, she stated plans to purchase 200 tons of iceberg lettuce and 40 tons of arugula per month. In this regard, she requested assistance in establishing direct cooperation with Uzbek farmers and exporters.
During the meetings, the Uzbek side emphasized that modern mono-centers are operating in the country. These centers effectively organize employee selection, training, and direct cooperation with employers.
At the conclusion of the negotiations, the parties reached agreements on job vacancies, improving labor and living conditions, resolving issues in document processing, and expanding the export of agricultural products. These meetings demonstrate that cooperation in the labor market between Uzbekistan and Russia is entering a new phase.
