Uzun district was recognized as a model area in 2023 for achieving successful results in reducing poverty and increasing employment. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Thanks to the allocated 160 billion soums, foreign investments amounting to 70 million dollars, and the launch of 47 new enterprises, thousands of residents were provided with jobs. As a result, the poverty rate in the district, which was 10.5 percent at the beginning of the year, decreased to 3 percent by the end of the year.
However, the situation in Denov district was the opposite. The misallocation of funds and the lack of any positive changes in the income of 1,200 families listed as poor demonstrated the inefficiency of the district administration.
Moreover, although Denov was allocated 4.5 times more resources compared to Uzun, the results were insufficient. It was also revealed that the 309 billion soums of credit funds allocated for entrepreneurship development in Chiroqchi district were not used effectively.
Due to the authorities not providing suitable ready-made projects to the population, the funds were not used wisely. Because of these shortcomings, the decision was made to dismiss Denov governor I.
Abrorov and his first deputy Sh. To‘raqulov, as well as Chiroqchi governor F.
Yusupov and his first deputy Z. Ergashev from their positions.
These measures were taken to ensure the effective implementation of socio-economic programs in the regions. Source: zamin.uz
