Tourism in Uzbekistan will transition to a digital system from 2026
Starting from 2026, a number of modern conveniences are planned to be introduced for foreign tourists in Uzbekistan. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

According to the decree signed by the President on November 20, from July 1, 2026, the data of tourists arriving in the country will be integrated based on their consent, and they will be automatically provided with a special tourist electronic SIM card. At the same time, the process of temporary registration of guests will also be automated.

Through the new national tourism platform and its mobile application, many conveniences will be created for tourists. All types of transport vehicles will be connected to a single system, and tourists will be able to choose their preferred routes and order tickets online.

In addition, a unified system intended for purchasing electronic tickets to museums, cultural heritage sites, and recreational areas will be introduced. To further facilitate excursions, a digital guide system providing information through interactive maps, audio and video companions, as well as online broadcasts will be launched.

Tourist fees will be transferred to a special Fund automatically through billing by hotels. Also, the process of renting out rural houses will be simplified and formalized through the “Soliq” application.

By the end of 2026, an artificial intelligence platform integrated with the “Safe City” system will be launched. This system will analyze tourist flows, their interests, and movements, forming individual routes and dynamic offers.

This will make price formation more convenient and transparent. In summary, these digital innovations are expected to take Uzbekistan’s tourism sector to a new level.
