The International Art and Culture Biennale, held for the first time from September 5 to November 20, drew attention not only from Uzbekistan but from around the world. This event further enhanced Bukhara's tourism potential.
In 2025, Bukhara achieved significant results in tourism. That year, more than 2 million 250 thousand foreign tourists, as well as over 4 million local visitors, came to the city.
The Biennale increased these numbers even further, making Bukhara an important destination for international art enthusiasts. During the event, 1 million 600 thousand guests visited the city, more than 770 thousand of whom were foreign tourists.
This indicator shows the international interest the Biennale generated. This cultural event, which lasted two months, brought positive results not only in the fields of art and culture but also economically.
As a result of the influx of guests, tourism service exports reached nearly 210 million dollars. This strengthened Bukhara's tourism brand and the country's position in the global market.
During the Biennale, the spirit of the ancient city harmonized with contemporary art installations. This was a unique event showcasing not only historical heritage but also modern art.
This festival marked a new stage in Uzbek tourism. The 2025 International Biennale presented Bukhara on the world cultural map in a clearer and more impactful way.
