It is planned to build a 33-kilometer-long "green corridor" in the city of Tashkent by 2026. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This is stated in the decree of the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev. This project aims to create a comfortable and environmentally friendly environment for the city's residents.
By April 2024, the Tashkent city administration is to develop a master plan called "Green Tashkent." According to this plan, 700 modern public spaces will be established in the city.
In addition, infrastructure for cyclists will be developed, encouraging the population to use eco-friendly means of transport. The Ministry of Construction must complete the task of cleaning decorative fountains and doubling their number within two weeks.
Moreover, the ministry will carry out work to analyze pollution sources in the city. The capital's residents will be actively involved in the ecological monitoring processes.
This process can be monitored through the Air Monitoring Uzbekistan platform. Additionally, 347 new automated monitoring stations will be installed, and 23 more stations will be placed in schools.
These measures will serve to improve the ecological situation and support a healthy lifestyle for the city's population.
