Medical data of over 36 million citizens in Uzbekistan has been integrated into a unified electronic system. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This system is called DMED, and digital services are being introduced in the healthcare sector. President Shavkat Mirziyoyev reviewed the work carried out at the Digital Healthcare Center located in Samarkand and the Samarkand branch of the Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Cardiology Center.
It was reported that with the introduction of the electronic management system for emergency services, the response time of brigades reaching patients has significantly decreased. Additionally, through the "Electronic Prescription" system, unjustified prescriptions of medicines have been reduced by 40%, and the circulation of pharmaceuticals has become more transparent.
Digital infrastructures have been developed, with over 3,000 medical institutions connected to the system and necessary computer equipment purchased. The Samarkand branch of the Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Cardiology Center has been fully renovated, with 52 billion soums allocated for this project.
The center has 100 beds and is equipped with 262 types of modern medical devices. Using mobile diagnostics, nearly 7,000 patients have undergone coronary angiography, and the number of heart surgeries has increased from 383 to 590 annually.
Furthermore, a residency program in cardiac surgery has been established to train qualified specialists. Source: zamin.uz
