IT development in Uzbekistan: Export and investments are growing
The development of artificial intelligence and digital technologies in Uzbekistan is rapidly progressing. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

Nearly 2 billion dollars in investments have been attracted to the country in this sector. IT services exports have increased 4.5 times, approaching 1 billion dollars.

These data were presented during the artificial intelligence forum attended by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. Additionally, the number of higher education institutions training IT specialists has tripled, reaching 145.

The number of students studying at these institutions has exceeded 80 thousand. Within the framework of the "One Million Developers" project, more than 2 million young people have managed to improve their skills.

Moreover, over 20 thousand computer science teachers are participating in courses at the New Uzbekistan University, established in cooperation with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Digital technologies are also widely used in the medical field.

With the help of digital diagnostics, the causes of more than 50 thousand diseases have been accurately identified. This has reduced the time for providing services to patients by 5–7 times.

In Karakalpakstan, 70 percent of mammographic images are analyzed through a local artificial intelligence platform. 98 percent of diagnoses are confirmed by doctors, which has made it possible to reduce the diagnosis time to two hours.

The number of technological startups has increased tenfold, with 300 million dollars invested in them. At the same time, work has begun on building the first "green" data center worth 3 billion dollars in cooperation with Saudi Arabia.

These achievements indicate the expanding digital economy in the country. Source: zamin.uz.
