New measures to protect youth from drug addiction

An important meeting was held at the Presidential Administration with the participation of heads of law enforcement agencies. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

Issues related to drug crime, the activities of criminal groups, and the fight against illegal arms trafficking were discussed. At the meeting, Saida Mirziyoyeva spoke, emphasizing that preventing drug addiction, especially among young people, is of paramount importance.

She noted the necessity of creating an effective and rapid system to combat drug-related crimes. She also stressed the need to mobilize all efforts to coordinate and implement this system in practice.

“Protecting our youth from the scourge of drug addiction is one of the most important tasks of our state. Any illegal actions in this regard will be strictly suppressed,” said Saida Mirziyoyeva.

At the end of the meeting, relevant assignments were given to law enforcement agencies, security bodies, and responsible organizations. Significant changes and new approaches are expected in state policy on this matter.
