New measures have been established to ensure security in Uzbekistan. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to the President's decree "On measures to effectively organize the activities of internal affairs bodies in the field of security," the National Guard's Security Main Directorate has been reorganized and will operate as the Security Department under the Ministry of Internal Affairs. This new structure aims to protect facilities based on modern technologies.
It is planned to further strengthen security by applying artificial intelligence and digital monitoring methods. The Security Department has been assigned the task of protecting important state facilities, educational institutions, as well as the property of individuals and legal entities using modern methods.
In particular, enhancing control through the use of digital technologies and artificial intelligence capabilities has been identified as one of the priority directions. Additionally, according to the decree, starting from January 1, 2026, identity verification systems, namely facial recognition technologies, will be gradually implemented in banks, large enterprises, and local government buildings.
This measure is aimed at increasing the level of security and strengthening control. The new system is expected to significantly improve the efficiency of security services.
