The Central Bank of Uzbekistan plans to develop a strategy for the development of financial technologies (fintech) until 2030. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This process is scheduled to be carried out with the participation of foreign experts by early April 2026. This is noted in the decree of the head of state.
Additionally, the Central Bank plans to involve foreign venture fund managers with experience in the fintech sector to support its development. In the coming years, a special commission is expected to be established for fintech development, and a support program for 2025-2026 is anticipated to be approved.
Starting from 2026, a special procedure will be introduced in the republic to allow the use of tokens as a means of payment. Furthermore, a payment system based on distributed ledger technology is planned to be tested.
This system ensures security and reliability by storing data on multiple computers and synchronizing them with each other. Source: Zamin.uz
