Starting from 2026, the government of Uzbekistan will provide additional financial incentives to 100 neighborhoods that set an example in tax payments. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Each "Best Taxpayer Neighborhood" will receive funds amounting to 2 billion soums annually from the state budget. The main goal of this initiative is to strengthen tax discipline in neighborhoods and support active citizens.
Within the project, neighborhoods that win for two consecutive years will be exempt from restrictions on participation in the project in subsequent years. Additionally, if 25 percent of the project cost is covered by the residents, the remaining 75 percent will be financed by the state.
This serves to encourage the financial participation of the population. The selected 100 neighborhoods will receive the allocated funds through the "Neighborhood Fund for Solving Socio-Economic Problems."
These funds will primarily be directed towards developing neighborhood infrastructure, landscaping, and creating comfortable conditions for residents. This initiative aims to improve the living standards of citizens residing in the neighborhoods.
