The patent and brand system in Uzbekistan is being updated based on modern technologies. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This was announced by the Ministry of Intellectual Property of South Korea. According to them, a patent and trademark management system will be delivered to Uzbekistan.
This project is being implemented by the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) and its total value amounts to 13.4 billion won (approximately 9 million US dollars). It is considered one of the largest system projects that Korea has delivered to foreign countries.
The main goal of the project is to modernize intellectual property management in Uzbekistan and increase its efficiency. According to Chong Je Hwang, a representative of the Korean Intellectual Property Office, the new system operates based on artificial intelligence technology.
It will assist in automating administrative processes, classification, searching, open data retrieval, and maintaining statistical reports. Additionally, within the scope of the project, technical support will be provided to ensure the system's stable operation, training for civil servants will be enhanced, and other supplementary measures will be implemented.
These updates will contribute to further development of the intellectual property sector in Uzbekistan. Source: Yonhap.
