From January to November 2025, the number of passengers evading bus fares in Tashkent city has significantly increased. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
During this period, nearly 20,000 passengers were fined for violating the established fare payment rules. Administrative measures were taken against the offenders, and a fine amounting to 10 percent of the minimum wage, i.e., 41,200 soums, was imposed.
According to official data, a total of 19,632 violations were recorded during this period. Experts believe that fare evasion cases may be largely related to passengers' irresponsibility or difficulties in using the payment system.
Therefore, passengers are urged to comply with the established rules in public transport and pay their fares on time. This will not only help prevent violations but also contribute to the more efficient operation of the city's transport system.
