
In Uzbekistan, 900 billion soums are planned to be allocated in 2025 for the protection of clean air. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance Jamshid Qo‘chqorov, who responded to deputies' questions at the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis. According to him, these funds will mainly be directed towards updating filtration systems in factories and improving the ecological situation.
During the session, deputies also inquired about additional funds being allocated for environmental measures from the 2026 state budget. According to Jusipbek Qozibekov, Deputy Chairman of the National Committee on Ecology and Climate Change, an additional 548 billion soums are planned to be allocated in 2026 from extra revenues.
Additionally, a special commission is operating in Tashkent city to improve the environment. They are working around the clock, conducting raids, and some enterprises have been temporarily suspended.
These measures are being implemented based on short- and long-term plans. These efforts are aimed at addressing environmental problems and creating comfortable living conditions for the population.
