
On December 3, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev received a delegation led by Denis Manturov, First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian government, during the meeting of the Uzbekistan-Russia Intergovernmental Commission held in Tashkent. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
During the meeting, leading Russian companies presented new projects to be implemented in Uzbekistan in the fields of information technology, energy, and various sectors of industry. The delegation also included leaders from Russia's Nizhny Novgorod and Omsk regions, Bashkortostan, and Krasnoyarsk Territory.
At the beginning of the conversation, Denis Manturov conveyed sincere greetings and best wishes from Russian President Vladimir Putin to President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. The parties exchanged views on the implementation of the "roadmap" adopted as a result of high-level meetings.
In particular, it was noted with satisfaction that the volume of trade is steadily increasing, and joint projects in industry, energy, transport, metallurgy, chemistry, and other sectors are being successfully implemented. Additionally, issues of maintaining the pace of trade turnover, accelerating cooperation projects within industrial zones, and strengthening interregional relations were discussed.
During the meeting, heads of major Russian companies provided detailed information about planned projects in Uzbekistan. These projects cover sectors such as information technology, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, pharmaceuticals, textiles, and the food industry.
It was especially emphasized that the results of the intergovernmental commission meeting and business events will contribute to advancing economic cooperation between the two countries to a new level.
