
Today, on December 6, ground shaking was observed in the eastern regions of Uzbekistan. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to information from the Seismological Monitoring Center, the earthquake was recorded at 19:18. The epicenter of the earthquake was in Pop district of Namangan region, where the intensity of the shaking reached 4 on the scale.
The earthquake had a magnitude of 3.4 and a depth of 11 kilometers. The epicenter is located 133 kilometers southeast of Tashkent city.
The intensity of the earthquake varied across the regions. Specifically, in Pop district, the shaking was around 2–3, while in Dangara district of Fergana region, it was felt up to 2 on the scale.
Experts emphasize that seismic activity is expected to decrease in the coming days. Therefore, the population is advised to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions.
