
The head of the Presidential Administration of Uzbekistan, Saida Mirziyoyeva, held a meeting with Sheikh Ahmad Muhammad Tayyib, the head of the "Al-Azhar" complex located in Cairo and the Grand Imam of Egypt, during her visit to Egypt. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
During this meeting, Saida Mirziyoyeva conveyed the sincere greetings and best wishes of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev. The negotiations were mainly dedicated to further developing cooperation between Uzbekistan and Egypt.
In particular, issues of strengthening ties in the fields of spirituality, science, and education were discussed. It was especially emphasized that in today's conditions of globalization, promoting enlightened Islamic ideas and protecting youth from the risk of radicalization is important.
Both sides expressed interest in expanding cooperation in developing mutual academic exchanges, implementing joint scientific programs, and studying unique manuscripts. These initiatives serve to preserve the historical heritage of Islamic civilization and study it on a scientific basis.
Saida Mirziyoyeva's meeting once again demonstrated Uzbekistan's aspiration to promote religious tolerance, strengthen enlightenment against ignorance, and develop strategic partnerships with major educational centers of the Islamic world.
