The Competition Committee of Uzbekistan has reported that 70 websites advertising gambling and bookmaker activities have been blocked. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to the Committee, the identification of such sites and measures against them are continuously being carried out. In this process, cooperation has been established with government agencies.
During the current year, the Competition Committee has provided information to supervisory authorities about 86 websites that violated advertising legislation. It is known that according to the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On Advertising," advertising of gambling and any games based on risk is strictly prohibited.
Websites violating this rule will be held accountable in accordance with the law. Representatives of the Committee are focusing on strengthening monitoring efforts to prevent such illegal activities.
At the same time, citizens are urged to comply with the legislation and to actively participate in combating illegal advertising activities. These measures are aimed at protecting youth and society from negative influences.
