The Hydrometeorology Service of the Republic of Uzbekistan (Uzhydromet) has issued an official warning about the possibility of heavy precipitation and sharp changes in air temperature from December 10 to 12 this year. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Due to this situation, it has been reported that there is a high likelihood of avalanche risk in several mountainous areas of the republic. According to Uzhydromet, the risk is mainly expected in the Bostanliq, Ohangaron, and Parkent districts of Tashkent region, particularly in the mountainous areas of the Chatkal range, as well as in the Pop district of Namangan region.
It was emphasized that the increase in precipitation and rapid temperature changes in these areas may activate natural processes. In this regard, Uzhydromet called on citizens, especially residents of mountainous areas, vacationing tourists, and drivers on the roads to be cautious.
When traveling in hazardous areas, it is recommended to be careful in choosing routes and to regularly monitor weather information.
