Extensive land reforms are being implemented in the country to increase the volume of fruit and vegetable production, ensure stable supply to the domestic market, and strengthen export potential. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Within the framework of these reforms, unused lands in pastures, slopes, and foothill areas will be offered to entrepreneurs through auctions for the establishment of industrial-type orchards, vineyards, and modern vegetable farms. The lands will be sold at an auction starting price of only 1 percent of their initial value.
This creates a great opportunity for businessmen and is expected to bring a new wave of investment in the agricultural sector. Another convenience for auction winners is the possibility to sublease the land use rights to other entrepreneurs.
The most important aspect is that such lease rights are formalized completely free of charge. This encourages efficient use of land resources based on market mechanisms.
Additionally, foothill lands allocated for establishing industrial-type orchards and vineyards, as well as for growing vegetables and fodder crops, will be auctioned at low prices. This will expand agricultural areas and increase productivity with the help of modern technologies.
Active and initiative farmers plan to bring nearly 100 thousand hectares of foothill land into agricultural circulation within the next year. As a result, feed security will be strengthened, farmers' incomes will increase, and opportunities for producing new export products will be created.
In conclusion, opening foothill lands to entrepreneurs through auctions marks a new stage in the agricultural sector. This process creates broad opportunities for establishing modern orchards, vineyards, and large vegetable farms.
