The Uzbekistan delegation achieved a historic victory at the 5th Youth Para Asian Games held in Dubai. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
At this competition, our country's representatives won 197 medals, securing first place in the overall team standings. Uzbekistan para athletes earned 99 gold, 57 silver, and 41 bronze medals.
With this result, they took the lead among 35 countries. The delegation participated in sports such as para athletics, para taekwondo, boccia, para swimming, para arm wrestling, and para powerlifting.
This achievement was noted as an important event in the history of Uzbek sports. When the delegation members returned to our homeland, they were welcomed with a ceremonial reception.
It is worth noting that previously, at the 4th Para Asian Games held in Bahrain in 2021, Uzbek athletes won 16 medals and ranked 6th in the overall team standings. This recent success once again demonstrated Uzbekistan's growth in the field of para sports on the international stage.
