The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan has released official data on crime statistics for the year 2025. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Colonel Ramazon Ashrapov, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs and Head of the Investigation Department, announced this at a conference dedicated to the year-end results. According to official statistics, the total number of crimes significantly decreased during 2025.
In particular, the total number of crimes dropped from 1,662 to 1,211. Additionally, the number of crimes committed by minors, women, previously convicted individuals, and those committed under the influence of alcohol also decreased.
For example, crimes committed by women decreased from 4,167 to 3,214, and crimes committed under the influence of alcohol fell from 2,004 to 1,650. Furthermore, the number of crimes committed by unemployed individuals and groups also declined.
The number of road traffic accidents also decreased from 9,365 to 8,738, which is considered a positive development. However, certain types of crimes still pose serious problems in society.
For instance, although murder cases decreased compared to the previous year, 288 murders were recorded in 2025. This is lower than the 339 cases reported in 2024.
Nevertheless, these figures remain concerning for society. Additionally, the number of crimes related to honor increased by 6%, reaching 381 cases.
While these indicators show that efforts to reduce crime in the country are yielding positive results, they also indicate that some areas require increased attention and measures. The information was published on the "Zamin.uz" website.
