
A new head has been appointed to the Tourism Committee operating under the Ministry of Ecology and Climate Change. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to the President's press service, Abdulaziz Aqqulov has been appointed to this position. The previous head, Umid Shodiyev, was relieved of his duties due to his transfer to another job.
There is no official information yet about his upcoming activities. Abdulaziz Aqqulov was born in 1985 in Jizzakh region.
He graduated from Tashkent State University of Economics. During his career, he worked as Deputy Minister of Tourism and Sports, as well as First Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for Tourism Development.
Before the new appointment, he served as Uzbekistan's Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates. It is worth noting that the Tourism Committee was established in July 2023.
Its first head was Umid Shodiyev.
