For the first time in Uzbekistan's history, work has begun to launch an artificial satellite and the first Uzbek cosmonaut into space. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This news was announced by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev in his address to the Oliy Majlis and the nation on December 26. This project is aimed at enhancing the scientific and technological potential of our country.
By 2030, it is planned to increase IT services exports to 5 billion dollars. At the same time, next year, four data centers, two supercomputers, and artificial intelligence laboratories at 15 higher education institutions will be launched in Tashkent city, Bukhara, Fergana, and Tashkent regions.
These opportunities will serve to widely implement artificial intelligence in the fields of medicine, transport, agriculture, geology, banking and finance, and public safety. Currently, thousands of talented young people are actively working in the fields of IT and artificial intelligence.
To apply their developments in drones and robotics into practice, the "Digital Technologies Center" will be established. This center will play an important role in training young specialists and scientists.
Additionally, the "Samarkand-2028" satellite will be launched into space in cooperation with China's STAR.VISION company. Within this project, agreements have been reached to strengthen scientific and technological integration and to develop cooperation with universities and companies.
These initiatives are considered one of the important steps on the country's path to digital development.
