
The Hydrometeorology Service of the Republic of Uzbekistan (Uzhydromet) has announced the weather forecast for the period from December 31 to January 7. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to it, during the New Year week, the weather will be variable in different regions of the country, and short-term precipitation may occur on some days. In Karakalpakstan and Khorezm regions, there is a possibility of light rain in some places on the night and morning of December 31.
From January 1 to 7, no precipitation is expected, but fog may occur in some areas. Night temperatures are expected to drop to −8 degrees, with daytime temperatures ranging from 0 to 8 degrees Celsius.
In Bukhara and Navoi regions, rain may fall in some places on December 31. The weather will be dry on January 1–2, but on January 3, there is a possibility that rain will turn into snow.
No precipitation is expected in the following days. Daytime temperatures will range from 5 to 15 degrees Celsius.
In Tashkent, Samarkand, Jizzakh, and Syrdarya regions, rain will fall in some areas on December 31. The weather will be clear on January 1–2, and on January 3, rain or snow may fall in some places.
By the end of the week, night temperatures will drop to −3 degrees, with daytime temperatures between 3 and 8 degrees Celsius. In Kashkadarya and Surkhandarya regions, the weather will be warm during the New Year week, with rain possible only on some days.
Daytime temperatures are forecasted to be between 7 and 15 degrees Celsius. In the Fergana Valley, precipitation is almost not expected.
Only on January 1 and 3 is there a possibility of rain in some places. Daytime temperatures will be between 3 and 10 degrees Celsius.
In mountainous areas, rain and snow may fall from December 31 to January 3, possibly intensifying in some places. In the following days, the weather will be dry, with night temperatures expected to be between 5 and 10 degrees below zero.
Experts recommend exercising caution in areas where fog and slippery roads may occur during this week.
