The project was developed in cooperation with Turkish specialists, and the construction work is being carried out by the “O‘zg‘uv’en” company. The complex is designed to accommodate 10,000 students.
It will include five faculties, a rectorate, a library with a capacity of one thousand seats, a museum, an exhibition hall, and multimedia rooms. Additionally, a sports facility for one thousand people, dormitories for two thousand people, a swimming pool, and dining facilities for students and teachers are planned.
The university will begin admitting students in 2027. Furthermore, the new building of the National Library is also being constructed on nearly 4 hectares of land.
The building's design combines national architectural traditions with modern solutions. The four-story building will have a total area of 30,000 square meters and will be able to serve 1,500 library visitors simultaneously.
Special technological rooms will be established for book storage, security, and processing. The library will also provide online access to international and national electronic databases.
Moreover, a special environment will be created for citizens with visual impairments. The library area will also include a café with 300 seats, a gallery, sports grounds, and recreational areas.
Additionally, the concept for the Children's Library, located in a historic building built in 1911 in Samarkand, was also presented. This building will be restored based on the experience of the library in Tashkent, preserving its historical appearance.
