In recent years, the issue of spreading pornographic materials through Telegram in Uzbekistan has become a pressing matter. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
A few years ago, conflicts arose in Tashkent regarding similar incidents. Although some individuals were held accountable for these actions, the problem has not been completely resolved.
Currently, groups and channels distributing pornographic content can still be encountered on the messenger. This is reported by upl.uz.
According to research, such content is mainly distributed through separate “VIP groups.” Access to these groups is paid, and membership is granted after payment is made.
Organizers leave payment details openly and often these accounts are anonymous. To attract subscribers, some channels share part of the content for free, then direct users to paid groups.
It is very difficult to identify such channels because they operate anonymously. Most regrettably, some prohibited materials are sent by the users themselves.
A similar system exists in Kazakhstan, where this activity appeared much earlier. According to some assumptions, channels in Uzbekistan may have copied the style of neighboring countries.
Additionally, some channels reportedly have separate sections for other countries, including Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan. To ensure the confidentiality of communications, the ability to take screenshots is restricted, and messages are deleted quickly.
Payments are mostly made via cryptocurrency. It is worth noting that distributing pornographic materials is prohibited by law in Uzbekistan.
If you come across such channels or groups on Telegram, it is recommended to report them. Such complaints help to block these channels.
