
The National Statistics Committee calculated the costs of preparing one kilogram of plov by regions in December 2025. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The results of these calculations show that product prices vary across regions. In the Republic of Karakalpakstan, the cost to prepare one kilogram of plov is 97,727 soms, while in Andijan region this figure amounts to 105,336 soms.
In Bukhara region, this expense was 107,175 soms. In Jizzakh region, the cost of preparing plov was 109,017 soms, in Kashkadarya region 111,093 soms, and in Navoi region 109,169 soms.
In Namangan region, the expense was 108,030 soms, in Samarkand region 112,222 soms, in Surkhandarya region 111,002 soms, and in Syrdarya region 103,696 soms. In Tashkent region, the cost to prepare one kilogram of plov was 111,857 soms, in Fergana region 114,890 soms, and in Khorezm region 106,527 soms.
The highest figure corresponded to Tashkent city, where the cost price of one kilogram of plov reached 115,491 soms. According to experts, the following products are needed to prepare one kilogram of plov: 0.3 liters of sunflower oil, 300 grams of onions, 700 grams of beef, 1 kilogram of carrots, 1 kilogram of rice, 100 grams of chickpeas, 10 grams of cumin, and 20 grams of table salt.
It is important to note that these figures only reflect the prices of the products. The price of ready plov or additional costs for services are not included in these calculations.
