Electric grids are being extensively renovated in Uzbekistan

According to information provided by the Ministry of Energy of Uzbekistan, in 2025, 787 kilometers of main electric transmission lines in the country were overhauled. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Additionally, 29.5 thousand kilometers of distribution electric networks were also repaired. Within this process, 9 main substation transformers and 10.2 thousand transformer points were upgraded.
During the modernization works, another 8.6 thousand kilometers of electric transmission lines, 2.3 thousand transformer points, and 28 substations were restored. As a result of these changes, the quality of electricity supply improved in more than 800 thousand households.
Furthermore, the volume of electricity supplied to consumers during the year increased by 14 percent, reaching 77.1 billion kilowatt-hours. At the same time, the "green" energy sector also developed in the country.
Specifically, small solar power plants with a total capacity of 2 gigawatts were launched. The electricity saving indicator reached 2.7 billion kilowatt-hours.
