New project for the development of artificial intelligence in Uzbekistan

According to the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, a new project will be launched in the country to develop the field of artificial intelligence. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

This project is a logical continuation of the “One Million Developers” initiative and is being implemented under the name “Five Million Artificial Intelligence Leaders.” One of the main directions of the project is to organize a national competition in artificial intelligence.

Each year, participants who achieve high results in the field of artificial intelligence will take part in this competition, and the winners will be awarded as follows: - 100 teachers will receive a cash prize of 1,000 US dollars each; - 10 teachers will be granted trips abroad; - 500 young participants will be given laptops; - 500 young people will receive valuable commemorative gifts; - 3 higher education institutions will be awarded cash prizes; - 2 general education schools will be given electric cars as “President’s gifts.” At the same time, within the framework of the “Muhammad al-Khwarizmi’s Heirs” project, broad opportunities will be created for young people.

Specifically, opportunities will be provided to receive free education in the IT field, acquire knowledge in managing startups, learn foreign languages, and participate in free preparatory courses for international IT certificates. Source: One.uz
