The number of foreign students coming to Uzbekistan has increased
New data has been released indicating a significant increase in the number of foreign students coming to Uzbekistan for education. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

According to data provided by the National Statistics Committee, a total of 37.2 thousand foreign citizens arrived in our country for education during January-November 2025. This figure is 54.3 percent higher compared to the same period last year.

According to the committee's analysis, the majority of students coming to Uzbekistan for education are from India, Turkmenistan, and Tajikistan, with India leading. In the first 11 months of 2025, 16.3 thousand students from India, 8.9 thousand from Turkmenistan, and 2.7 thousand from Tajikistan visited our country for education.

Additionally, students from countries such as Pakistan (1.7 thousand), China (1.4 thousand), South Korea (870), and the Kyrgyz Republic (823) have also chosen Uzbekistan. Among other countries, there are students from Egypt (737), the Philippines (501), the USA (464), Turkey (357), Afghanistan (291), the United Kingdom (179), Russia (164), South Africa (155), Iran (115), Kazakhstan (113), Bangladesh (97), and Italy (94).

This growth indicates that Uzbekistan's opportunities for international cooperation in the field of education are expanding. Furthermore, there has been a noticeable increase in the number of Uzbek students studying in South Korea.

It was noted that in the first half of 2024, the number of Uzbek students studying in that country reached 5 thousand. This signifies the strengthening of Uzbekistan's position in the international education market (source: One.uz).
