Work time calendar for 2026 approved

The Ministry of Poverty Reduction and Employment has developed the work time calendar for 2026. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The ministry's press service provided this information. This document was prepared based on the Labor Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the President's decree “On the designation of additional non-working days and the transfer of rest days during the celebration of official dates in 2026,” as well as the calendars for 2025 and 2026.
It specifies the exact calculations of working hours and days for various workweeks. In particular, the norms for monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, and annual total working hours are established for 5-day (40-hour), 6-day (40-hour), and 6-day (36-hour) workweeks.
Additionally, the work time norms for official holidays and pre-holiday working days celebrated in 2026 are set separately. According to the ministry, this calendar can be used for various purposes.
Specifically, this document is practically useful for preparing work schedules, planning and formalizing employee vacations, as well as determining monthly, quarterly, and annual working hours. At the same time, it is emphasized that if additional rest days are designated or rest days are transferred by the President's decree, the calendar may be updated.
