2025 was one of the hottest years in Uzbekistan

According to data from Uzhydromet, 2025 was recorded as one of the hottest years in the history of observations in the territory of Uzbekistan. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
It is mentioned alongside the years 2016 and 2023. Throughout the year, air temperatures were 1–2 degrees higher than the usual normative indicators, and in some months, particularly April and May, this difference reached up to 4.5 degrees.
The amount of precipitation during the year was also significantly lower than usual. From April to November, drought was more pronounced, with rainfall and snowfall amounts recorded at half the normal levels.
However, in December the situation changed, and precipitation increased significantly in Tashkent and neighboring areas. This month became the rainiest and snowiest December for the capital in the last 25 years.
In mountainous regions, the snow cover reached 85 centimeters by the end of December. This caused frequent avalanches in the Kamchik Pass and Chimyon areas.
Additionally, despite a short cold wave observed in mid-December, the month overall was warmer than usual. Source of information: Uzhydromet.
