For the first time in Uzbekistan, a population and agricultural census has begun

The process of conducting the population and agricultural census in Uzbekistan began on January 15, 2026. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This event aims to collect accurate data on demographic and agricultural indicators in the country. The process will continue until February 28 and will serve to form statistical data necessary for various sectors in the future.
According to the Ministry of Justice, government agencies and organizations are required to register their employees on the census.stat.uz portal between January 15 and 31. This process is carried out through the OneID system and is mainly organized in digital form.
The census is conducted in two stages: in the first stage, citizens register online from January 15 to 31, and in the second stage, specially trained staff collect data door-to-door from February 4 to 28. During the census, important information such as the population’s age, education level, employment status, and migration processes is collected.
In the agricultural section, land use, livestock, and other agricultural indicators are studied. This information allows the government to have a clear understanding of the population size, distribution, and living conditions.
In the future, issues such as infrastructure, education, employment, agricultural policy, and budget planning will be based precisely on this statistical data. Officials promise to ensure the confidentiality of the collected information.
The census questionnaire consists of 71 questions covering many indicators related to the population’s lifestyle and agriculture. It is worth noting that this is the first population census conducted in the history of independent Uzbekistan.
Therefore, serious attention should be paid to this event. Source: One.uz.
